Hello and Welcome to our website!  My name is Maureen Bourgeois and my husband is Steve Meyer. We live in Buda (central Texas), just south of the Capitol City of Austin and have been raising Boer goats since 1998.  We started out with a handful of Spanish nannies to clear some of the brush on our 5 acre homesite.  When a friend of ours gave us a 3/4 Boer buck to breed to our nannies, we decided that these Boers were kinda nice and decided to get more!
Our herd now consists of 25 fullblood, purebred, and percentage Boers.

While the goats are a hobby for us, and not a source of income, we strive to maintain a high standard of quality in our breeding stock.
We are relatively new to the goat world but we have been showing and breeding purebred dogs (Rottweilers) for a number of years.

We recently began testing (U.C. Davis) all of our goats for CAE and CL.  Our goal is to have a CAE and CL free herd.
We do guarantee any goat we sell to be CAE and CL free.

One of the first registered percentage Boers that we purchased in 1998 was a solid red 3/4 doe.  Because of her, we have developed a fondness for the red boers, so we now have several reds and paints along with traditional colored Boers. We keep about a dozen goats on our 5 acres in Buda and the remainder of our goats are kept on our ranch  which is located between Wimberley and Blanco (about 35 miles from our home in Buda).  We purchased the ranch in 1999 with the intention of moving out there when we "retire".  Please take some time to browse thru our doe, buck, and "for sale" pages.
